Welcome to the wonderful world of Travel and Photography. This is my initial article — my introduction to the world of blogging. So buckle up, cross your fingers, and hang on tight. Let’s see if this thing can fly!
I have to admit right from the start that some have told me this is a crazy venture. Well…………….OK…………in the interest of full and honest disclosure I guess I have to say that many have told me this is crazy. After all….”why write a blog?” ” Do you have too much time on your hands?” I’m not sure I have a really great or well thought out answer to those questions. But I do have some ideas. In no particular order…………
I like to travel. Man, do I like to travel. If you’re reading this it’s likely that you do as well. So I’m not going to spend much time, at least at this point, going into the details. Let’s just leave it at that. My love of travel and all things connected to travel motivated me to start writing.
I love photography. Seems that I’ve always been around cameras and photography since I was a kid. My professional career followed a different direction. I’m a clinical psychologist and have had an active practice since the late 70’s. Photography was an active interest and hobby. But then, about ten years ago, at the urging of friends (as well as my own inner longings?) I took the plunge and got serious about photography. Following many classes, much study, and lots of experiences I entered the world of professional photography. And I gotta say………..I’m loving it!
That’s it in a nutshell. I’m doing this ‘cuz I love travel and photography. Plain and simple. Each is great in it’s own right. And then of course you can put them together and magic happens. Travel And Photography. Outstanding Duo! Doesn’t get much better than that.
So here’s the plan – I’ll be using this site to write and share about things related to travel and photography. All kinds of stuff – wide ranging – thoughts, products, places, techniques, interviews, news, updates, whatever ………………… a real potpourri. The ideas and topics are without limit. Imagine the possibilities. So it will be an adventure. I look forward to it. I hope you will join me.
