Let’s face it – Everyone Loves A Treasure Hunt. Apparently this hunt has been going on for awhile – like maybe three years or so.  I just heard about it.  Okay – maybe I am a bit slow.  But I wanted to pass this along – just in case you are a bit slow like me.

First, as far as I can tell, this treasure hunt is for real.  And even though it has been going on for three years – the treasure remains undiscovered.  The Today Show did a piece on the hunt just today.  So what’s the deal?  Read on………………

Mr. Forrest Fenn is a rather wealthy 82 year old who resides in New Mexico.  He’s done well in life and, for a variety of reasons ,decided that he wanted to share his wealth in a rather unique way.  So about three years ago he packed a chest with “millions of dollars in gold coins, diamonds, and emeralds….”, took it out and buried it.  Where did he bury it?  Well …. that’s the part that makes it a treasure hunt.  Mr. Fenn is not telling where the forty pound chest is buried. But he does provide some clues.

Mr. Fenn has fashioned a “clue poem.”   It appears in his self-published autobiography “The Thrill of the Chase.”  By report, the poem contains 9 clues.  Apparently the clues can also be found on Mr. Fenn’s website:  www.oldsantafetradingco.com.  I tried to check that out but failed.  Seems that a good number of people were interested in the story after it appeared on The Today Show.  Mr. Fenn’s site crashed this morning right after the program aired!  If you’d like another source, check out Today.

So that’s about all I can tell you right now. But for me?  Well, I’ve always loved the Southwest …….. and I’m thinking this hunt could be the perfect solution to my search for a retirement plan. Now, I wonder what the weather is like down there in New Mexico today.

Anything is Possible …...Enjoy The Adventure!
