Things just seem to go better with a little musical accompaniment. That includes the adventure of travel. I don’t know about you, but I often enjoy a little music while I’m traveling. Fortunately, there are many ways add a bit of music to your journey. Obviously, one easy way is to upload some of your favorite tracks to you smartphone or tablet (for me that’s my trusty iPhone or iPad). Still, sometimes it’s nice to branch out and get some fresh music into your ears. How do you find some NEW MUSIC FOR TRAVEL? Those are the times when I go to Songza.
Songza is a music streaming app that I really love. It provides you with streamed music for any type of activity – including travel. Songza works with smart phones, tablets, laptops, and computers – sending music to your device using pre-established play lists. So that means that, unfortunately, you can’t select individual songs for listening. But great music is still available with the play-list approach. Songza offers up streamed music playlists in several different ways. You can browse through a library of play lists that Songza has available. They can be searched by genre.
You can also use the “Songza Music Concierge” which suggests selected playlists according to the time of day or your current activities.
Songza also offers a listing of current “popular” playlists, ones that are trending and getting lots of listens.
And there is a really nice feature which allows you to create your own listing of “favorite playlists” as you discover lists that your really enjoy.
The Songza play lists serve up some very interesting selections. I find Songza streamed music great for variety on my travels. The one caution of course, is that this is live streaming. So it is best used when you are in a wi-fi environment. Otherwise, unless you have an unlimited data plan, you might find yourself using up quite a bit of your data allotment.
