MULTI PORT USB CHARGER
Do you need to power up or recharge multiple devices like me? I have found the answer!
I admit it – I am a tech geek of sorts and I have lots of wonderful little electronic things to keep me happy. There’s my iPhones ( yes, that’s plural – have two), my iPad, a video camera, a variety of point and shoot still cameras, my gps unit, a bluetooth mobile speaker – well you get the idea. The list really does go on and on. And almost all of these items can be charged by plugging into a standard electrical outlet using their individual adaptors, or they can be recharged via a usb cable. How do you handle all this charging?
Today I learned of a great solution – a Multi Port USB Charger station providing 10 ports offered by Brando Workshop (here’s the direct link –http://usb.brando.com/10-port-usb-charging-station_p03299c035d015.html). Plug the station into one electrical outlet ( it works with 110-240 V) and you can power up ten different USB devices. Each USB connection provides DC 5V/1A power output.
I’ve previously written about a variety of devices to help you manage your power and recharging needs – an in home USB & Electrical Outlet Combo, my favorite multi-purpose portable power device, the Tek Charge MP1500, and most recently a niffty outlet extender, Outlets To Go 4. Each has it’s own unique set of features. Now to this list I have to add the Multi Port USB Charger.
This 10 port charger is not very large – “126 x 80 x 28 m” according to the description (I’m hoping they mean millimeters?) and weighs in at 204 g which is @ 7.2 oz according to my calculations. I know it will be great for home use. Might be a tad large for travel use – but if you have lots of stuff it sure would be handy to be able to plug all your gear in using only one outlet. So time will tell. Could be a travel device as well – at least in some situations.
Clarification and Disclosure – Be clear, this is NOT a USB router. It only provides power via USB connections. I am not affiliated with Brando Workshop in any way. I do not (yet) actually own this device and have not had the opportunity to test it. Brando Workshop is located in Hong Kong and take Pay Pal – delivery takes 7 to 14 days.
You Got The Power …………. Enjoy The Adventure!
