JOURNEY TO SPAIN PREVIEW
MARBELLA SPAIN
My Journey to Spain is fast approaching and I must say I’m getting excited. I’ll be visiting, photographing, and writing about lots of different locations, one of which is Marbella. Marbella is on the Costa del Sol in the foothills of the Sierra Blanca in the Spanish Provence of Malaga. My advance research reveals that Marbella is a favorite of travelers to Spain, offering great beaches, restaurants, and shopping ( Not my favorite pastime but maybe yours?) It’s a resort area with 10 golf courses nearby. The city by the sea offers a mix of old and new. I’ll be using Marbella as a base for several day trips including nearby Ronda, Gibraltar and also Tangier, Morocco.
While in Marbella I’ll be staying at The Marbella Heights Boutique Hotel. I don’t often do previews of hotels but in the case of The Marbella Heights I am making an exception. Their staff has been excellent in my numerous correspondences with them to make, clarify, and adjust arrangements for my stay. In addition they made arrangements for my travels to Tangier including ferry tickets and guide services once in Tangier. Their helpfulness and assistance has been truly outstanding. I can only hope the rest of my stay with them lives up to that standard.
Now – it’s time I start packing – and perhaps brushing up just a bit on my (nonexistent) Spanish.
