WARBIRDS IN FLIGHT
The Heart of America Wing of The Commemorative Air Force is based in Olathe, Kansas, about 20 miles south of Kansas City. This past weekend I was fortunate to attend their annual Warbirds In Flight Airshow. It’s a great event each year – lots of people, lots of aircraft, and most often lots of lovely blue sky. Always one to love aircraft since I was a youngster, I got my pilot’s license while in college. Now I do a lot of travel photography and frequently find myself dragging my camera around, thousands of miles from home. So the opportunity to cover the Warbirds event right here in my backyard was really great. With flight action so close to home I grabbed my camera and headed to the flight line.
A beautiful B-25 was one of the stars on the flight line.
Some of the local guys and gals got into the spirit of the event with period outfits to match the WW II theme.
This gorgeous P 51 Mustang was one of the stars of the show. What an aircraft!
A TRUE GATHERING OF WARBIRDS
Keep your eyes on the sky …………….. And Enjoy The Adventure!
