BACK ROAD TRAVELS

Kansas City Street Art

Most travelers always tend to gravitate to the “highlights” of the area they visit.  Why not? It’s easy to do.  Highlights are easy to find and are often consider to be the “must see” features of a destination.  So it is with Kansas City where there is much to see and enjoy.  Visitors quickly find  5 Great Places in Kansas City – The Country Club Plaza, Kauffman Center and the Nelson-Atkins Art Museum. the Jazz District and Kauffman and Arrowhead Stadiums. And of course there is also Sprint Center and the adjacent Power & Light District.  But there is so much more to Kansas City.  So it makes sense to also get off the traditional “tourist trail” and see what else the city has to offer.

And it’s easy to find.  All the images were taken on the same quiet Sunday morning  in the same area known as the Crossroads. All the art shown lies in an area bounded on the west by Broadway and the east by Holmes and bounded on the north by 16th street and the south by 20th street.
